Dedication of Rugby State Natural Area

Tennessee Dept. of Environment & Conservation Commissioner Jim Fyke and others will formally dedicate the new 725-acre Rugby State Natural Area and open the first public trail - the 1.2 mile Massengale Homeplace Loop Trail & Exhibits. Gather at the new trailhead a block off Hwy. 52 to rear of the Rugby Visitor Centre - location will be signed. Optional hike to the Massengale Homeplace, site of an Appalachian homestead that preceded Rugby's founding, will follow the dedication.
